Disc composed of three separate segments; furnished by the National Archives 11/0/07 NARA #080053 (purchased by Tom Heurtz of the White House Decision Center at the Harry S. Truman Library). Silent color film of the Trinity Test at Almagordo, New Mexico, June 1945. Includes actual denotation of the atomic bomb from two locations. Approximately 12 minutes. President Harry S. Truman making the announcement of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Black and white film – approximately 6 minutes. “Two Down and One to Go.” Promo of General George C. Marshall speaking after VE Day about the defeat of two Axis powers and the concentration of power to defeat Japan. Excellent battle footage. Produced by the Office of War Information, War Department.
