Samuel Mason, Pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church in Independence, Missouri. Scripture reading by grandson Wesley Daniel. Speakers: U. S. Congressmen Emmanuel Cleaver and Ike Skelton; a message from Madeline Albright; sons Clifton and Thomas Daniel; and Library Director Michael J. Devine. Vocal music by the Kansas City Chorale.
