Description
WHITE HOUSE TOUR – CSPAN2 7/8/98 A tour of the White House with questions from callers. In the first 10 minutes, Susan Swain and Dr. William Seale interview Margaret Truman Daniel by phone concerning the reconstruction of the White House during her father’s administration. The reconstruction of the House and the addition of the balcony on the south portico began in the fall of 1949 and was completed in the spring of 1952. This interview is followed by a tour of the White House conducted by curator Betty Monkman, followed by President Bill Clinton explaining the Oval Office. VHS tape
