Description

The fourth in a series of four ¾” videotapes produced by the John F. Kennedy Library of a conference held there on 4/12/84: THE TRUMAN PRESIDENCY. The last tape opens with journalist R. Strout discussing the role of the media during the Truman years, and particularly the whistle stop campaign. Questions are then taken by the panel: C. Harrison, David McCullough, H. Stikoff, and R. Strout. The tape ends with 1981 Truman Scholar recipient Sarah George commenting about the Truman Scholars Program and the application process.
