Description

Home movies shot by Lieutenant Daniel Karp during his service in the Air Force in the Korean War. Karp was mainly stationed in Japan. This film was an attempt to make a more polished movie with the help of Karp's roommate, Dale Hasler. It starts in Ashiya, Japan, with Karp writing a letter home to his mother and father, and the film is like an attempt to demonstrate the contents of the letter. It shows his life, smoking, drinking, packing for a trip, movies, a Jeep, leaves, fishermen, visiting a beach and going swimming. Shows Karp holding a camera, then goes back inside and shows Karp finishing the letter.
