0:00   Harry S. Truman discusses hearing Henry Stimson, his Secretary of War, evaluate using the Atomic Bomb. He quotes Stimson saying it ended the clash of two great land armies. He saw no alternative to ending the war. Mr. Truman said Stimson was one of the finest men he ever knew, his only failing being he didn’t belong to Mr. Truman’s political party.
