    Harry S. Truman stands before a map of Korea, describing General Douglas MacArthur's landing at Inchon and how we pushed the North Koreans beyond the 38th parallel. This set up the division of Korea because the United States didn't have enough troops to occupy North Korea. The Russians agreed to occupy North Korea. When the government of the Republic of Korea was formed, there were 100 seats for the North Koreans. Of course, they were never occupied. Korea should be one country; it had been for 900 years. He doesn’t know whether it will be again or not.
1:23   Man with clipboard says "Scene 1336, take 1." Mr. Truman begins speaking again. He is in front of a screen that shows Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-Tung, and Chou En-Lai. He says that no one knew what China would do, but if we pushed China we'd have had Russian divisions to battle and then they'd be in a good position to take over Europe.
1:50   Man with clipboard says "Scene 1337, take 1." Harry S. Truman says that Peking and Chung King, the Capital of the Chinese government, were in agreement they were both Communist. Our divisions were sent to the Pacific to finish the Japanese war. That was our objective.
2:31   Man with clipboard says "Scene 1338, take 1." Mr. Truman is standing before a screen that shows a photograph of Douglas MacArthur's father. He says that General Enoch Crowder of the Philippine War said he thought he'd met the most egotistical and self- centered gentleman he'd ever met in General Arthur MacArthur until he met his son, General Douglas MacArthur. There is off-screen direction to do the scene again, because Mr. Truman hadn't remembered the first name of Arthur MacArthur. Mr. Truman grins.
