0:00 | Merle Miller asks Harry S. Truman about the election of Woodrow Wilson.
0:14 | Harry S. Truman states that he was cutting wheat "running a binder" when Woodrow Wilson was nominated for president in 1912. Although he and his father had supported Wilson's opponent, Bennet Champ Clark, they "supported Wilson 100% when he was nominated." Mr. Truman describes how he "wrapped the lines around the brake on the binder" and went about a quarter of a mile away to a little telegraph office to get election results. This was the primary election.
