The map, titled "The War Against Japan: Advance Across the Pacific and the Situation on 14 August 45," shows the Japanese perimeter as of August 1945, the maximum Japanese perimeter and phase perimeters, Japanese bases by-passed or neutralized, points of Allied and Japanese engagement, points of Allied advance, points of Allied air attack, areas under various degrees of Allied air attack, principal points of Allied occupation and bases, and the atomic bomb targets. Handwriting on the back indicates that this map is part of the Official File. The handwriting reads: "Official File: 651, Ltr: 8/15/45." This map appears to be a photocopy.
