Description

The map, titled "Japanese Expansion," shows the Japanese perimeter in 1868 and after their surrender, the perimeter at successive dates, the perimeter as of November 1941, the perimeter as of July 1942, the planned perimeter, the points of Japanese advance or strike, principal points occupied by the Japanese, points of Japanese and Allied engagement, and the location of Allied bases. Handwriting on the back identifies this map as being part of the Official File. The handwriting reads: "Official File: 651, Ltr: 8/15/45." This map appears to be a photocopy.
