Description

A "U.S. Navy Aviation Chart" of the Hawaiian Islands. The map marks the location of U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps fields, commercial or municipal fields, auxiliary fields, mooring masts, night lighting facilities, transportation routes, Coast Guard stations, radio stations, prominent transmission lines, oil well towers, radio and light beacons, high explosive areas, prohibited areas, etc. Pencil annotations refer to schedules, fields, and statutes. Wheeler, Bellows, South Cape (Morse), Hilo, Suiter, Maui, Homestead, Burns, Barking Sands, and Morse Field are noted. Donated by Theodore C. Bland.
