Description

A French map, numbered 215 in a series, that is overprinted to show trench systems. A black annotated line tracks the movement of the 35th Division. Units represented on this map include the 128th Machine Gun Battalion, 129th Machine Gun Battalion, 130th Machine Gun Battalion, and the 139th Infantry. Handwritten notes on the back read: "Vauquois Sheet, 1/10,000, Neuvilly to Cheppy via Buzemont and Boureuilles. Initial Machine Gun Barrage, 35th Division, 26 Sept 1918." Donated by Ward L.
