Description

An American map titled "Newsmap for the Armed Forces: Monday, September 24, 1945." The newsmap has low detail maps of Japan, Korea, the United States, Germany, and Austria. Printed text, accompanied by photographs, describes the estimated discharge rate of Army forces from September 1945 to June 1946, the objectives and rules for the Demobilization Program, and the estimated Army distribution as of July 1, 1946. Printed drawings on the back show the shoulder insignia of United States Army combat divisions. Printed text on the back provides a partial list of the combat locations of these divisions.
