Description

An American map titled "Newsmap for the Armed Forces: Monday, April 10, 1944." The map of western Europe identifies Nazi airfields hit and industrial areas bombed by Allied air forces. The map of the Pacific theater shows the distance from Tokyo to Truk and Truk to the St. Matthias Group, Rabaul, New Britain, and Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. The map of the Eastern front shows railroads, rivers, international boundaries, Axis-Soviet boundaries in 1941, and points of Soviet activity. Printed text and photographs reveal news on multiple fronts.
