An American map titled "Newsmap, Monday, October 25, 1943." The map of the Dnepr River shows railways, rivers, marshes, political boundaries, crossings, and areas of Soviet pressure. The map of Burma shows railways, international boundaries, roads, trails, Japanese "thrusts," the location of Allied attack, and areas of Allied control. The map of New Guinea and Australia shows Allied controlled areas. This map includes an inset of New Britain. The map of southern Europe shows main railways, international boundaries, and the path and targets of Allied strategic bomber forces. Printed text and photographs reveal news on multiple fronts.
