Description

An American map titled "Newsmap, Monday, October 11, 1943." The map of Greece shows airfields, Allied bomber activity near Athens and Corinth, and a Nazi attack on Kos. The map of central Italy shows railways, main highways, roads, rivers, airfields, battle lines, and the flight distance from Naples to Rome. The map of the Eastern front shows railways, rivers, marshes, political boundaries, the current battle line, and the battle line as of July 5, 1943. Printed text and photographs reveal news on multiple fronts. Printed text and drawings on the back show the "typical" German infantry regiment, including the approximate number of officers, enlisted men, weapons, and vehicles.
