An American map titled "Newsmap, Monday, September 27, 1943." The map of the Russian front shows railways, rivers, marshes, political boundaries, current battle lines, and the battle line of July 5, 1943. The inset is of an area near Novorossiysk, Russia and shows current battle lines and the battle lines as of July 5, 1943. Another map, of the European and Central theater, shows main railways and international boundaries. In addition, several printed red circles highlight areas in Italy, Yugoslavia, and Greece. The map of the Pacific theater shows Japanese controlled territory. Printed red circles highlight areas near New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and the Gilbert Islands. Printed text and photographs reveal news on multiple fronts.
