Description

An American map titled "Newsmap, September 20, 1943." The map of southern Europe shows main railways, international boundaries, areas of Allied and Axis control, neutral countries, and the direction of Allied attacks in Italy. The smaller map, of an area near New Guinea, shows Allied controlled areas. Printed text and photographs reveal news on multiple fronts.
