Description

An American map titled "Newsmap, Monday, September 6, 1943." The map of the Russian front shows railways, highways, rivers, marshes, and Soviet drives. Another map, detailing an air offensive in Western Europe, shows areas controlled by Allied forces, Axis, and non-belligerents. The smallest map, of the New Georgia Islands, shows areas under American control. Printed text and photographs reveal news on multiple fronts. Printed text and drawings on the back detail the "typical" German infantry division, including the approximate number of officers, enlisted men, weapons, and vehicles.
