Description

An American map titled "Japan and Adjacent Regions of Asia and the Pacific Ocean." The map shows principal railroads, dismantled railroads, principal highways, elevations, depths, and boundaries as of September 1, 1939. Included are several inset maps of the industrial centers of Japan and the Marshall Islands. This map is one of a set of maps that have been removed from an album titled "United States of America: United States Army Air Forces." Another note within the album read: "Prepared by Cartographic Branch, AC/AS-2 Intelligence."
