Description

French map titled "La Haute Chevauchee." The map, numbered 209 in a series, shows the area surrounding the Argonne Forest and the Biesme River. The map is overprinted to show the Allied and German trench systems and battery movement. On the front of the map is a red stamp marked "Secret." A pencil note on the back reads: "La Haute Chevauchee 1/10,000, C. O. 140th Infantry."
