Description

French map titled "Verdun A." The map is numbered 199 in a series. A pencil note on the front reads: "Original map used in Argonne by R.I.O. 140 Inf 35 Div, Sept 25 - 18 to Oct 1 - 18." A pencil note on the back reads: "Original map used in Argonne by R.I.O. 140 Inf. Showing enemy works and M.G. emplacements, arty emplacements and trench system, Sept. 26 - Oct 1 - 1918." The map was marked "Secret." Donated by Ralph E. Truman.
