Description

A French map titled "Nouvelle Carte de France: Belgique, Bords du Rhin, Suisse, Etc." The map shows transportation routes throughout France, England, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. Map inserts include sections of several French colonies, Algeria and Tunisia, and Corsica. Annotations, in black ink, follow the movement of Virgil E. Jackson's 130th Field Artillery, Battery F. Black lines are drawn from Southampton, England to Le Havre, France and follow throughout France to the Mediterranean Sea. Dates accompany some of these markings. Handwriting on the back reads: "Virgil E. Jackson, 130th Field Artillery, Battery F, A.E.F." Donated by Virgil E. Jackson.
