EXEMPTION OF WILLIAM D. HASSETT FROM COMPULSORY RETIREMENT FOR AGE
WHEREAS, William D. Hassett, Secretary to the President, will, during the month of September, 1950, reach the retirement age, applicable to him, prescribed for automatic separation from the service by the Civil Service Retirement Act of May 29, 1930, as amended; and
WHEREAS, in my judgment, the public interest requires that such person be exempted from compulsory retirement for age as provided below:
NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of sand pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 204 of the act of June 30, 1932, 47 Stat. 404 (5 U.S.C. 715a), I hereby exempt the said William D. Hassett from compulsory retirement for age for an indefinite period of time.
