Saturday, November 16, 2024 - 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CDT

Bring a friend or two for a free craft night at the Truman Library. We will leave the lights on in the Auditorium so that you can knit, crochet, cross-stitch, needlepoint, or embroider, while watching the featured film Julie and Julia. This is a BYOC (bring your own craft) event.

Julie and Julia (2009) PG-13

The adaption of Julie Powell's autobiographical book about an amateur chef who decides to try out every recipe in a cookbook by chef Julia Child and writes about it in a blog over the course of a year. Meanwhile, flashbacks show Child learning about French cuisine while living in Paris.

Child worked for the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during WWII. The OSS was the predecessor to the CIA that Harry S. Truman established in 1947.
