How do audiovisual materials end up in a presidential library? Who was recording the president’s activities, and how has that changed over the years? At our next History Happy Hour, Audiovisual Archivist Laurie Austin will discuss the evolution of who was recording the president and why. She will pull from her experience currently working at the Truman Presidential Library and previously at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library to show highlights from the audiovisual archives of both libraries.
Doors will open at 3:45 p.m. The program will begin with a networking time from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m., and the program will begin at 4:15. Tickets are free for Truman Library Institute members and $10 for non-members and include appetizers and drinks along with the program.
