Truman's maternal grandparents, Soloman and Harriet Louisa Young, are buried here, as are his father, mother, sister, and namesake uncle, Harrison Young. An old Young family stone was removed from the family plot in 1958, and Truman replaced it with a new, larger one carrying both the Young and Truman names. Stones for the individual graves were apparently also replaced in 1958.
Forest Hill Cemetery sits at 6901 Troost Avenue, about 7 miles south and east of downtown Kansas City.
