The President received 93 United States Attorneys, and a group of Officials from the Department of Justice at the White House. (These men were attending United States Attorneys' Conference being held in Wash. May 22, 23rd and 24th. They are here from entire country as well as the possessions, numbering 94.) Mr. Alvanley Johnston and Mr. A. F Whitney were given an appointment with the President at this hour. While they were seated in Mr. Connelly's anteroom, Dr. John R. Steelman came in and they followed him out to the Cabinet Room. At the conference there, it was decided that they should not see the President. Messrs. Johnston and Whitney did not confer with the President at all on this day. Such conferences as they had were at the White House and were held with the President's advisors, Dr. John R. Steelman, Mr. John Snyder and the Secretary of Labor [Lewis B. Schwellenbach], et al.
H. E. Alberto Tarchiani, Italian Ambassador (Recently returned from Italy and has expressed a desire to call upon the President to report on conditions in that country)

The President and Mrs. Truman gave a Garden Party for Veterans hospitalized in government hospitals in Washington.
The President returned to his office and conferred off and on until 7:00 pm with Dr. John Steelman, Hon. John Snyder, et. al.
The President returned to the White House for dinner.
The President came back to the Executive office where he conferred with the Secretary of State [James F. Byrnes] and the Secretary of Labor [Lewis B. Schwellenbach] on the railroad strike.

The President left for Constitution Hall, for the Commencement Exercises of George Washington University - Pictures were taken before the ceremonies started at 8. pm. These pictures were taken of the President and Miss Truman in the President's room at Constitution Hall. Other pictures taken in corridor of the President heading line of graduates -- no other pictues taken at the ceremonies. After Convocation the President, Mrs. Truman and Miss Truman went to the home of President and Mrs. Cloyd H. Marvin for supper.

The President laid wreath on tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery under the auspices of the G.A.R.
Left with family to go aboard USS WILLIAMSBURG for a cruise on the Potomac.

The President spoke at 12:10 pm and left afterward by motor to Goddington Manor, Maryland on Chester River. Went aboard Day Cruiser DOL-LAR. Cruised to Annapolis on DOL-LAR via Chester River. Took car at Annapolis to Washington.
Arrived Washington, going direct to the Navy Yard where he boarded USS WILLIAMSBURG where Mrs. Truman and family awaited him. Cruised on Potomac River over remainder of week
