Believed to have been taken in Uzbekistan while the Harrimans were touring the Soviet Union in 1959. May be in Tashkent or Samarkand. According to Thayer's account of the trip, while in Samarkand they did visit "at the Shah Zindah which contains a series of magnificent tiled tombs..." Charles W. Thayer accompanied W. arles W.
