Members of the armed services are shown seated in a bus on their way to a Sunday afternoon party sponsored by the American Newspaper Women's Club of Washington, D.C., as part of "Operation Homefront." The party, including a buffet supper, is one of a series of parties held on Sunday afternoons for enlisted men either at the Club or surrounding estates. The identities of the men are unknown.
