The President received a delegation from the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. This was arranged at the request of Mrs. James McGranery, of the National Board of Directors. They present to the President a book, "How to Be Prepared", a checklist of things that Girl Scouts can learn to do to be ready for emergency service. This presentation preceded the nation-wide release as a pamphlet in connection the the Girl Scout 39th Birthday on March 12th.
