| Notes: | French Huguenot refugee, came with 150 immigrants to Maryland about 1650 under the leadership of Colonel William Burgess. Land records show that this Huguenot merchant and planter held a vast estate. During the Revolution of 1689 he was among the leaders who sustained the Lord Proprietary. Married 3 times. (Susanna Brosseur was his 2nd wife) Mareen Duvall left a third wife who after his death maried Colonel Henry Ridgely as his third wife. After Colonel Ridgely's death she married her third husband, the Rev. Jacob Henderson, comissary of the Church of England. Will recorded 13 Aug 1694 |
